According to Carmack, Doom III can be transferred over to the Xbox without any graphical changes. He further claimed that currently the Sony PlayStation2 isn't powerful enough to handle Doom III, without making graphical sacrifices.

i dont know about you but i would believe Carmack over any ps2 fanboy.

I bought an XboX magazine with a demo disk just so I would have something to play when I got the console, it has Halo and DOA3 on it, I also just rented Project Gotham Racing, going to look for some games tonight.

Yeah Doom3 will probably be on there. Like said above, he said it'd run it. The only thing that he said that would have to be changed would be the levels. Would just load them a section at a time.

The thing that sucks about the Xbox is that the big titles I want are on the PC Only Project Ego is the one that stands out. Hell I thought about Splintered Cell and then found out it's going to the PC too. Ah well, glad I have a fast PC

I'm proud of owning a GameCube, can't wait for Metroid or Mario. I dunno about Zelda yet though. Xbox looks like the next move for me, if only to have the original Halo(damn thing shoulda been on the PC fist). And about counter stike: Whooptie frickin doo. I've been playing it on the pc for the past 2 years and I don't think anyone should get it for the Xbox. Noway the Xbox controller beats a Keyboard/Mouse setup. On a side note the PS2 didn't really impress me that much.

CS for the xbox will primarily be focued on the single player element of condition zero, not multiplayer.
