i didn't realize there was a e3, e4, e6 for the 3500

i know that the e3 and e6 exist for skt 939 3000+

e6 is just venice core with updated mem controller

Would an updated memory controller make it a better choice for a new system than the basic Venice core processor?

No performance increase, just meets EUs lead policy now with E6, again, only the 3000+ and 3200+ have an E6 revision so far. Supposedly it gives you higher ocing.

The real time pricing engine shows a venice 3500 cpu SKU ending in BW, which I think denotes E6 stepping, as well as a venice 3500 cpu ending in a SKU of BP which should be the E3 stepping chip.
