e3-1230 vs i5 2500k

I can get them for about 200. I don't care about oc or igpu .

Since your not interested in ocing, i would recommend the xeon. Theres also a e3-1230v2 but im not sure if your motherboard supports that. http://ark.intel.com/products/65732/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E3-1230V2-(8M-Cache-3_30-GHz)

i dont have access to the 1230v2

i think the e3 will work out well
