E2180 and Retial HSF

Retail E2180 comes with an HSF that have three small stripes of Paste.

I.e. it is not covering the whole contact surface of the CPU.

1. Should it be use as is?

2. Should it be spreader before placing the HSF?

2. Should it be scraped, and use Arctic Silver covering the top of the CPU?

It will work just fine and spread itself out when you attach the HSF to the cpu on the mobo. AS5 is up to you.

Can be used as-is, do not spread.

Otherwise clean it off with IPA (rubbing alcohol) and replace with Arctic Silver/Ceramique.

Clip and go. Only need to clean with IPA if your remove the heat sink and re-apply thermal paste.
