then its cool, and xms2 is written on the side of the ram along with cm2x1024-6400.. is there difference between cm2x1024 and xcm2?
 
If you're gonna get Penryn or something else later on, I'd suggest you get the cheapest C2D cpu right now and overclock it with stock cooling. In this case, it would probably be the e2140 or the next one up if there's barely any price difference at this point. Stock cooling will work fine at 3.0ghz-3.2ghz at around stock volts. If you do use the stock cooler though, I would suggest you take off the plastic push-pins and replace it with bolts in order to bolt it onto the motherboard for more pressure. The stock cooler doesn't mount properly and doesn't provide enough pressure. FYI, I got over 20 degrees celcius difference just by doing this.
