Hi guys i have ABIT IP35E and i had ADATA 2X2GB DDR2 800 it was working great i was able to overclock it good. But than i changed my Memory i removed the ADATA and put in 2x1gb Crucial Ballistix Tracer and now it is showing me that

CPU Is unworkable. Pelase check your Soft Bios/menu.

or click F1 to continue.

At this instance i am not even overclocking everthing is at default.

I click on F1 and the windows loads up ok and everything does anyone know what's going on.

TIA.

Couple questions:

Why did you downgrade from 4GB to 2?

Is the new Crucial memory at a different speed? You might be encountering a situation where the new memory is trying to run at a faster FSB and the CPU isn't able to deal with that. What happens if you run the Crucial at DDR2-800? Same error?

Memory speeds don't play such a huge role in performance on Intel machines. YOu'd probably have better performance with 4GB of DDR2800 over 2GB of faster memory.

the reason i changed is i needed money and i wasnt using the whole 4gb so i downgraded it to 2gb and the CRUCIAL is ddr2 800. Also when i set the CPU to manual settings like the fsb to 250 and the multiplier to 8 and the RAM speed to 1:1 Ratio so the speed of the RAM comes out to be 500 still its giving me that problem. I have just bought OCZ memory it should be arriving this week, i will put that in and see how it goes. Meanwhile anything i could try let me know.

Thanks

A google search found a post on the Abit forums, but I was unable to view it because I was not "authorized to view this page." You should probably head over there yourself and check out similar problems. More than likely somebody else has experienced the same thing you are and the answer is already posted.
