e1505 - does the 9-cell battery stick out?

I just ordered a Dell e1505 with the standard 6-cell battery. Does anyone know if the 9-cell unit protrudes further than the 6 (or is that a given)?

It doesn't but I heard the E1505 isn't backward compatible with old batteries (ie 6000, 6000D, etc...)

From FW:WARNING: E1505 battery, while having the same power rating, IS NOT BACKWARDS COMPATIABLE WITH 6000 SERIES, E1705 SERIES, or 9300/9400 SERIES. WHAT A JOKE! The new E1505 battery has been SLIGHTLY changed, and does fit in a 6000, but the laptop does not reconize it, so it powers up, but does not like the battery. The E1505 has been slightly modified to NOT ACCEPT the older style batteries! WHAT A SCAM
