Smith only had 6 carries before going out with a shoulder injury. Dallas dominated and shut down Arizona in every way. Shipp had 9 carries for 31 yards, that is not all that great. Heck Smiths replacement in Dallas, 23 carries for 59 yards, and that was against a crappy defense, thats some sucky numbers against a crappy team. Dallas has the #4 defense in the NFL, #1 offense.

IIRC Arizona has negative rushing yards to end the 1st half. Arizona is just bad, and its not Smiths fault.

Maybe not on the field, but he will no doubt have a postive impact on younger players. Should he retire? Probably, just like Holyfield should retire? Will either of them do it in the next year? Not likely.

Well Ricky Williams had 10 yards in first 3 quarters and finished with 39 yards total. So everybody has an off game.

yeah, Dallas kicked azz today. QC isn't doing to bad with 277 yrds with 2 TD's....defense dominated only allowing 1 TD and got 2 safetys and only 151 yrds allowed

do you guys know NOTHING about football?? Negative YARDS ALWAYS mean that your blocking up front SUX, unless you have ACTUALLY seen Emmitt trip and fall by himself and get touched down, negative yards means he's getting tackled BEFORE he even get's to the line of scrimmage. that's not a problem with the back but with the O line.

u guys are forgetting that arizona's front line is terrible. Look at jake plummer, he was getting sacked all day because of that line.

I heard this morning that Smith's shoulder was broken from the tackle by Roy Williams.

If that was the case, then Tomlinson would be out of a job. Every time he has a "breakout" game, he follows it up with a crappy performance...
