Falling out of favor I'm sure... but last night's episode was at least on track with the old ep types. Hell we even got a glimpse of Sherry Stringfield and her husband Chuck (lol @ the breast feeding).

Just enough cases coming through the ER doors to keep it interesting, much less drama, and funny lines about.

Oh and Abby's still got it.

Carter is leaving and the British Woman got fired. It's not the same show as when it started. Almost makes you wish they would have a 5 year run and then finish the show.

The new guy is kinda interesting.

I wonder what's going to happen with the Indian chick?

Why did she leave the hospital and go job hunting? I missed the begining and haven't watched in a while?

She couldn't stand being a doctor, so she quit.

She left the hospital a long time ago and went to a different one. Then she left there for whatever reason (think she did something wrong) so she was trying to find any old job and ended up at the Qwik E Mart.

But man that breast feeding scene was kind of freaky.

preview for next episode indicated someone is leaving the show for good. I think it's finally time for Corday to go. I read in the offseason that they thought she was too old for the show.

Did Romano demand too much money on a new contract or something ? Wish he were still around. Or at least they should inject someone of his type into the mix again.

You haven't watched last season into this one I take it. The baby was stillborn... choked in the womb. Depression set in for her... she went back to Africa[?] while he stayed here. They stay in touch "via email" because of the time difference.

Carter said he had his run with the show... no more for him at the end of this season. Ya know the one thing that has continuously pissed me off... every season they have incompetent interns (except for Neela and now this new dude). They need to build stronger characters for the show's future rather than just some pawns for us to laugh at. It's practically too late now.

Paul McCrane did not ask for more money. The new production crew thought they needed to get rid of some characters last season, so they got rid of him.

The Carter story is really messed up. First he goes to africa to save kovac, meets that smartass blond and they make you believe that something is going to start there but then the next thing he is with the other woman....whatever.

It's hard to say of ER will live past this season. Carter is the last character from the original cast and when he leaves I think the # of people watching the show will go south fast.

Nela was accepted to a hospital at the University of Michigan. When she got there she decided it wasn't what she wanted. (It seems her parents pressured her into becoming a doctor.) The head guy for interns said she should take some time and consider her decision. AFAIK she could still go back to the UofM and pick up where she left off.

Benton quit because he decided his son was more important than his career. Green died of a brain tumor that came back.

EDIT: AKA, they both got written out of the show :D

I thought tonight's was a good episode, but the show has lost that "spark". Same with The West Wing.

It seems like both shows have taken the emphasis off of interpersonal relationships and put all the emphasis on hyping up some mindless drama.
