decided to join the anandtech forum after meeting you in the TechXNY PC Expo. Thanks for answering my questions. I am thinking of writing a small article on my website or a post on the TMF AMD board about your opinion on AMD technology. Of course, I am not going to use your real name. all was not lost tho, i got to meet Anand, Mday and TK421.


just thinkn i was just minutes away from winning a 1.4 athlon, 512mb DDR, and a geforce3, all tucked inside an all aluminum coolermaster case. i'm actually about 5 feet from the man right now, along with lloyd case, and bill machrone.


can anyone say next year...

saw something else cool today...

powerleap has another "system on a board" device. but this time, on an isa slot.

it's an entire motherboard in the formfactor of an extension card. it has an isa slot on it, but has no electrical connections through it.

it's small enough to design a good lan-meet case for it. yes, for it. the isa slot thing adds stability to the card, so you must replace that stability since a regular case won't be enough. of course it has a pos video controller built in.

e-phex choked hardcore in the finals (just kidding e ) but the contest was interesting..
Everyone here builds PCs, but it takes something more to build them fast, those damn screws
were the worst..

It was also cool to meet Anand, chatted about the site, and the good old days before staples coupons were banned, he gave us some info on his trips and the computers he's gotten to play with lately.. I forgot to wish him a happy birthday.. doh! If you read this Anand, happy belated birthday...

I also got to chat with Bill Machrone, been reading his columns for years in PC Magazine.. good guy,
knows his stuff...

I won't be returning on Thursday, have to work plus the giveaways really suck this year.. Too bad the tech industry is on a low right now..
