US Gov't: 3 (Didn't study and forgot half the crap, was surprised)
Macro Econ: 3
English Lit: 3 (Bombed the essays :\)

*Shrugs* They don't really get me anything for college, but the 3 on the English Lit at least exempts me from having to take the English Placement Exam. 🙂 "Good enough for government work!"
 
Calculus BC 5, AB subscore 5
Chemistry 5
Statistics 5

Chemistry was ridiculously easy (no acids/bases, only a basic equilibrium problem on the FR), but the calculus and statistics surprised me. I was expecting a 4 on calc (left 1 full FR and 2 seperate halves of different problems blank), and I was expecting a 2 on the statistics. I think I only got 2 out of the 6 FR correct... I even missed the one where the give you the computer output and ask you to identify things. 😱

AP BIO - 4 (never studied for this one, didnt even have my book for 5/6 weeks [i let my sisters friend borrow it for her college course haha])

There is no way you took all those classes during your school year. Half of those are classes for juniors and the others are for seniors. So, fess up.

i know plenty of people in HS that would take the test without having taken a classyou don't need a class for english, comp sci, econ, spanish, or gov if you already have a general knowledge of the subject
 
looks like I can't check online, and I haven't gotten them in the mail yet.

Last year I took AP Calculus and got a 4/4 AB/BC (weird... I self-studied BC, too, and I didn't spend any time studying AB, but it still should be like 5/3 AB/BC).
 
Why take so many AP courses? It will likely shorten your college career, throwing you into the real world earlier. Trust me, you don't want that.

Pfft. AP classes are like a miniscule step up from honors, at least that's what I found to be the case.

Chem - 3
US History - 3
Modern European History - 3
Statistics - 4 (easy as hell)
English Literature - 3

I should have done better, but I honestly didn't care about my test results, so I didn't really study or anything. Meh.

some AP classes are step up from honors, others aren't. History, IMO, is a little more in-depth than honors, but still fairly similar. Chemistry, however, was completely different - we actually LEARNED something in AP Chemistry.

btw, if AP stats was "easy as hell", then why didn't you get a 5?
 
Something that will never get old, HS students calling things "OMGEASY" and then not getting high scores. 😀 In my day before all the "easy" AP test (e.g. stats) I had a 3, a 4 and seven 5s. Shoulda been eight fives but one teacher didn't prepare us with the correct lit for that year.
 
You people are pathetic. Just because... say Calc AB was easy for you. Guess what, there are millions of teachers out there, and a lot of them suck. So keep that in mind the next time you decide to look down from your high horse.

Shens, there's no reason to take Physics B and Physics C. Either you're lying or you've wasted money.

There's also no reason to take Econ Macro+Micro 😵

I didn't even notice the difference between honors courses and AP courses besides taking an extra test at the end of the year. It was totally worth it though, I came to college as a sophomore for less money than it costs to purchase 1 credit hour. I had 26 credit hours for the cost of less than one. I highly recommend to all high schoolers to take the AP tests
 
Here are my old scores from a few years ago and the corresponding credit hours I received when I got to college

Government- 4
(3 Politics credits, counts for general education)

BC Calc - 5 with the AB subscore of 5
(6 Math credits, Calc 1 and 2, jump straight to Vector Calc thereby saving a year)

Chem - 4
(8 Chemistry credits, introductory courses and labs)

Physics B - 4
(6 Physics credits, useless introductory courses)

History - 3
(didn't receive anything for this)

French - 5
(3 units of intro French, ended up not helping me at all because I passed into a much higher class for my foreign language requirements)

I don't know how I got a 4 on the Physics B exam, I had a perfect score (100% answered correctly) on the SAT II Physics and didn't study for it at all.

I almost took macroecon, but before I signed up I realized that econ credits wouldn't help me at all. And indeed I was correct, I checked out what my university gives for a 5 on either econ test and they give you a 3-unit economics course that can't be used to fulfill any requirement for any science or engineering degree (my areas of interest)

I don't know why I didn't get a 5 on AP Stats. I just found that just about everything on the test, a TI-83 could do in a nice, menu-driven atmosphere. If I had to guess as to why I didn't get a 5, I'd say that my explanations for things were a little sketchy because of my reliance on the calculator. (I think we literally called that class AP Calculator)

And yes, I agree wholeheartedly on Chemistry. Honors Chemistry was a joke, while AP Chem was the single hardest class I took in high school. A lot of the stuff I learned in AP Chem carried over to college, and I use that knowledge often.
