I did a nslookup and it gave me the following info:

proxy1.elcjn1.sdca.home.com
IP is 198.168.0.1

What do I need to modify in the pop and smtp server settings? I have tried many variations of this. Added the or 198.168.0.1 any many other things and still it doesnt work. BTW it is COX@home not ATT, if this makes any differene. THanks in advance

The existance of a proxy, router, or firewall should not change the mail and news settings from your provider.

Just aim your system at their servers and things oughta be jus' fine.

Good Luck

Try this server for your mail:

netmail.home.com

that should work. If not, try to ping it, and that'll give you the IP to use... netmail.home.com has always worked for me behind firewalls though
