E-mail Archiving Program

I want to take a bunch of old e-mails some have attachments (pictures, word docs and etc) and transfer it to another computer. I can't find a way to do this within Thunderbird, is there a program that will dump all these as text format into one location and also allow attachments to go along?

If no on the attachments, then what about just text format?
