Stupidest thing I ever read:

He just wanted to be cool.

All Peter ever wanted was to be cool. Later in life that probably won’t matter as much to him, but as a highschooler being cool is everything. He tried to emulate the cool kids in the class as best he could, but it wasn’t so easy.

One thing the cool kids were always doing was smoking. He didn’t want to start that habit, but wanted to fit in so Peter bought the Victory Electronic Cigarette Full Starter Kit in the no-nicotine version. He took his e-cig and headed to the cool kids’ huddle.

“Why are you smoking that?” one of them asked.

“I’m trying to quit,” Peter lied.

“Yeah … it’s tough man,” another said.

What Peter didn’t know, however, was that none of them actually smoked; they were all just trying to be cool.

Get a ProVari, I would go all or nothing on e-cigs.

True. I quit smoking 2 years ago and have been using e-cigs instead since. Crappy gear is unsatisfactory and will cause many to go back to smoking. A Pro-Vari might be a bit expensive for someone testing the waters. I'd recommend something like an eGo kit (~$35) for someone just starting out.

At $8 I'd say it's a fair start to test the waters. I started with a kit similar to this (KR808 specifically)...

Yet, I don't know of anyone who successfully quit smoking permanently just with poor initial gear like this. It's so important to research and learn what's better (much better) out there that will lead to quitting smoking permanently.

I ended up switching to a box mod w/carto tank eventually and haven't smoked a cigarette last 3 years (after smoking for prior 20 years at pack a day).

This is great. I've been looking for an easy way to start smoking.
