I'd like to take a lot of books with me where I'm traveling soon, but they weigh too much. Anyone know of either a free or pay site with a good selection of books to download? Mostly interested in sci fi, fantasy and some recent history.
 
For SF & fantasy baen.com has a huge free legal library of books from their authors like David Drake and David Weber.

They also have a paid but DRM-free ebook site where you can buy packages like the first 5-6 of Drake's Lord of the Isles series for $15.
