Dynex 32" HDTV $299 Sun and Mon only @ BB

I would have to say for the money and screen size you get it's actually good.I was watching the Indy 500 in HD today on it and I was impressed.

I've got the 1080P 42" (which goes for $599, crazy prices). It is an all around great TV. HD looks great, as expected, but I was surprised by the great quality of the SD.

Also, the 42" has a RS-232 port on the back for control, so that's an undocumented bonus.

Hope that helps folks. I'd have no hesitation about buying that 32" if I had space for one.

Brian

tv prices are getting cheaper and cheaper..
too bad i'm perfectly happy with my samsung 720p..

does it have support for native resolution? I know that my 730P does not support its 1366x768 in DVI or HDMI mode.

I've had this set for over a year now and I bought it for $445 back then. It's a great budget set. $299 is an awesome price.

Lol couldn't resist so I picked up one for myself.I do notice a marked difference between using VGA or HDMI,the latter is much better.

"Maximum Resolution 1366 x 768"

😕

yes, you are confused, my HP 720P has same native resolution but max supported resolution is 1080i which PC sees as native, and 1366x768 is not supported; in other words it sucks.

If that's the really popular model (on AVS forums), they are AMAZING for the price when calibrated.

Edit: The $600 model is newer. It may or may not be as good as the previous model I'm thinking of ($700).

I never watch TV except for football, and then I watched on a 32" Panasonic CRT - or on my computer using ATI 650 and 2 NEC20wmgx2s. I bought one of these Dynex jobs just for spits and giggles because they were cheap and had good reviews. I ended up fooling around and hooking it up to PC as second monitor. For $300 this thing smokes and makes the average TN PC display look lame. I have nice wide angle views and have hardly any shifting at all compared to a TN or SPVA display for computer. The colors not on par with my SIPS NEC's because midranges are weaker but they are better than my NEC 90GX2 and way more than acceptable for the $300 the NEC cost new. I needed a spare monitor and was going to buy an ASUS 15" this week for $69 @ Newegg (with promo code). The idea I got this for 32" (with tuner and 78 connectors) for 250 more (with tax) is sick. Not a single dead or stuck pixel (I used NEC test app). Google Earth was a monster on this and my photos are a lot of fun to see on larger screen. I love my NEC SIPS and the colors are a beauty - but this things isn't that far off just for general viewing. I know I would love the Dell 30" but then I would need 2 video card connections and still not have all the extra connectors for 1k more. The gal at BB told me they sold 20 of these on Sun and had 10 left for Mon. ( I bought about 11AM). She said it was on of most popular items for BB staff to buy.

I have the 42" I picked up after my accident, and its still going strong and looks beautiful to me. I wouldnt mind picking up another one without hesitation if I ever got the cash to do so again. Everything going into it looks great. SD is soso, I mean its sd cable, cant expect much, but dvd, hd, xbox, 360, computer, just outstanding from 8' and beyond, colors pop off the screen and if very sharp. Hell even my laptop going through the VGA input looked as good as my PC using the HDMI, go figure that out. I even hooked my PSP to it, and it looked good.

And I dont know about this 32" but my 42" has a built in Digital tuner and Im picking up the HD local stations my cable company broadcasts with the extended basic, which is a HUGE plus considering I cant pick up OTA HD for Im to far out in the sticks. It was like a HUGE bonus for me when I was channeling down and was like "WHAT THE FUCK!!!!! NO WAY, SHERRY GET YOUR ASS IN HERE, Ghost whisper in HD!!!!" It was on like 104.15, and there was about 10 more in that range, ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, THiS, Weather, it was all cool when I found out, and a HUGE smile on my face, and I even get like 40 music channels too on my cable, Newwave btw i need to know, all with my new tv.

Ive had the tv since Nov of last year, and just now found this out this month 😛

I have no experience with the HP displays, but I'm under the impression that it might just be an odd resolution in which you need to add to your video settings. I had to do so with my Radeon HD4870 for my 720p tv.

My mom picked one of these up, as her old 27" Zenith CRT was on its way out. For $300, couldn't pass it up. She also got the $50 4 year black tie warranty, in case anything happens. With these 'off' brands I think that was worth it.

$379 now.. my old set is on the way out.. I'd of been tempted had I seen the $299 tag =(. I need a new one.. my old tv is a pos lol. I need to check the hot deals section more lol.
