So I have...

1. A domain name that is already registered.
2. Comcast dynamic IP
3. A machine at my house

Is there any way to get my domain (www.whatever.com) to resolve to my home IP address?

Or do I have to use one of DynDNSs TLDs like whatever.dyndns.org?

I think you have to pay for the DynDNS service to do that with your own domain and not use theres.

Dont be be put off by zoneedit.com website. I have used zoneedit.com for many years now and have had great service. They also offer cheap extra services such as mailbackup. Which is great if you run your own mailserver on a not so reliable type connection.

You can also just point the DNS at your home IP. They don't change very often (at least my comcast one doesn't).

You're not supposed to, but thousands of people do it anyway.

I've read that Comcast is starting to block port 25 though, probably due to spam.
