WOW! i just installed dynamat and WOW! its quiet. i put it on my generic case with an atlon t-bird 1.33GHz with an SK6 HSU (i did replace the delta fan with a panaflo m1a 80mm fan by turning it into a diamond shape so the clasps will hold it) anyway, i just slapped them on and its soooo quiet i could sleep next to the damn thing while its running... in other words... I LIKE!

you should try searching for keyword: dynamat and see if you can find that other post and let him know your experience

i just finished installing dyna mat.

it definatly did not make a difference for me.

Dynamat and other tar-based sound dampeners can have different results for different cases and also different results depending on how you apply it.

I myself prefer Sonex foam

A friend of mine uses something similar (don't think its called a dynamat though), he thinks that it does help to dampen the noise a little. I was thinking of getting some - after all its pretty cheap.

One quick question : How does it attach to the case - Glue? If it didn't make a big difference would it be easy to remove without damaging the inards my beautiful Lian Li?

I think I'm the guy that said it didn't make a huge difference.

If you use dynamat extreme it won't be easy since there is no glue. Your pretty much using a sheet of aluminum that has a side with sticky tar.
Dynamat original uses a strong adhesive that can be removed easier with something like goo gone and a scraper.
I think dynamat enhances the looks anyways, why would you want to take it off? I doubt it's reusable

dude don't do that to ur lian-li.

1st of all its made of aluminum to make it light, u go slappin the dynamat on there and its gonna be heavy
2nd it disipates heat faster than metal cases but if u slap dynamat on there then it will take longer for the heat to work thru the case
3rd and most important, its tar based... u sure u wanna mess up a lian-li with tar???

like hell it does. just think about that for a second. that is just plain stupid. the difference in heat dissipation is negiable at best.

uh-huh. okay. hehe funny.

you think aluminum makes even a 2C over steel? not likely. i'd be a hell of a lot more concerned about air-flow and case layout over material. too each his own i suppose.

my steel case right this instant is 3 degrees F over ambient room temp with one fan. my vid card is about 20 degrees F over ambient. do you think aluminum would make a substantial difference? maybe 1 degree? not really, but if you need to spend money like that go ahead.

aluminum does look pretty darn cool though, thats what it comes down to.

if i remember correctly dynamat converts sound energy that it blocks into low level heat. not very cool for our needs, but.....
