It is not on Microsoft Update, so I am not going to worry about it for now.

They release new builds of Dx all the time. It is almost definately still Dx9.0C. They would not be adding any new features at this time, only bug-fixes.

Yep, they don't really say much about the release either, just that it was published on June 6.

Its the June06 update for DX9, I don't know if it actually gives performance boosts, but not every driver that comes out for a video card does either. That doesn't keep me from getting new drivers. I just like to be up to date and thought others might like it to.

From the sounds of it, it doesn't hurt anything and it still remains to be seen if it gives better performance so, why not? I've installed it and am doing fine.

it may be a small update for direct x, but still, "having latest is always better".
