nVidia does make some good cards and I would buy them next time if they provide some good price/performance (whether my aging Maze4 waterblock fits on the card is also a major consideration for me as well and was why the GTX260 was ruled out at the time I bought my 4870).

Now that's just hilarious. Let me pick the one game where we turned off special features whenever a 5870 was used and use that as the only benchmark of performance between their cards and mine. Either they think we're all retarded or they have the dumbest PR department in history.

That's a matter of opinion. Both companies have some unique features, and now with the 58x0 cards AMD added even more to their list. It just depends on what a potential customer finds to be more appealing, AMD's feature set or Nvidia's.

There was a DX11 game available from launch of the 5870. (Battleforge)

A poll on this forum proved that people care about Eyefinity much much more than they care about 3D Vision. It wasn't even close. Another poll showed that people also care about DX11 more than PhysX. What features does Nvidia have that ATI doesn't have that people actually want? When it comes to features that both companies have, ATI does it just as good or better(and never worse) with less money out of the consumer's pocket.

It's pretty safe to say ATI has Nvidia beat in features, price, performance, business practices, etc...

dguy6789 I think if more people could have a hands on experience with 3D Vision in an actual game they might think otherwise. I like both technologies, but having had hand on experience with it and actually talking to an nvidia developer on it, I actually WANT it. It's pretty fricking sweet. Just don't want to pay like 300 for a 22" and another 200-300 for the glasses from nvidia. If I could find the extra cash right now I totally would though.

I'd definitely like to see what 3D Vision has to offer. Unfortunately it's one of those technologies that you have to try it before you can decide (whereas with Eyefinity you already know what you're getting and it's easy to see it just by looking at a video of it, unlike 3D Vision) and there are no demos of it where i live.

It's an interesting concept undoubtedly, but it still is in a pretty early state at the moment. I think only two monitors support it at all right now. They aren't even very good monitors for their price; at the price they sell at, you can get way better monitors. Besides that, having to wear those glasses is really annoying for people that already wear glasses. People who don't wear glasses at all will probably find having to suddenly wear them be very annoying.

Every review I've read of 3D Vision has stated that game support for it is shoddy at best. Very few games work with it perfectly, tons of games exhibit all kinds of visual glitches and the like.

I've only owned nVidia card for the last 10 years or so. Moved to the 5850. Until crap like this changes, I'll stay with ATI.

If they start this crap, then I hope another option is available.
