I'm currently playing a Warforged Paladin in Pathfinder. I'm immune to all diseases, don't have to breath, sleep, eat, or drink. My DM allowed me to take away the charisma minuses, so I started with a 20 for strength, a 20 for CON, and 16 for charisma. The Eberron substitution levels in allowed me to use my CON bonus for my lay on hands, which means I have 7 per day at this level.

I have a +1 great sword, can regenerate HP a lot, have high save bonuses, and just generally lay waste to my foes.

I don't know what you mean by 'play', this is a poll/thread about which type of being you would like to actually be born as if you could. Only nerds play video games.

You can always go interspecies, though you will be looked down upon by both your people and your lover's, and your children will grow up as outcasts.

Elrond and Elros did not grow up as outcasts. Neither did Eldarion.

OP:

A. Orcs are corrupted men.
B. Elves live as long as the Earth (as long as they don't get killed or go all emo when their cat dies or something). Plus they're physically and mentally superior to humans in every way.

The only correct answer is Elf.

I was an Aasimar paladin in Neverwinter Nights 2. We're better than humans but can still be straight.

It's pen and paper, biatch, and you are definitely not cool enough to play it.

Sorry, you rolled 4 and got ate. You assume incorrectly that these are purely Tolkienesque constructs. You wanna set up your own rules or your own poll based on characteristics of certain races as you define them then start your own thread. There's about a million stories with the human/elves/dwaves dynamic and in some elves are immortal and in others merely long lived. I chose the characteristics as outlined in the OP and thus, they are controlling.

Orcs are corrupted elves because I said so, but I did in this circumstance borrow from the Tolkien mythos established in Silmarillion, which sucked by the way,

Your entire post fails like the Oath of Feanor! That's right, I said it. Enjoy your trip to the BURN unit!

All the millions of stories you refer to are derivative of Tolkien.

Half-elf (half-human).

Don't want no stinking dwarves, except for tossing.

As Tolkien did not create the idea of elves and dwarves I find that highly arguable, though no doubt many were influenced to a great degree by him. He is responsible for the popular notions most people associate with those races, but to claim as derivative every post-Tolkien work containing creatures that have existed in mythology for millenia is way off base.

they are addictive if you have an addictive personality

dragons are pretty cool. they can take human form too (right?). too bad they have a tendency to go evil and subsequently get killed by some hero.

Dark-Elf Druid is my traditional character.

I just started a Dark-Elf Witchunter and a Dark-Elf Warlock.

Dragon if I can morph into human form and walk amongst the mortals.

Otherwise, elf that behaves like a dwarf with the greed / hunger for power of a human.

Might surgically alter my facial features to appear human, but I could use the longevity.

Did you just watch Lord of the Rings?

You left out Hobbits in the poll.
