I have a brand new computer Win XP Pro and upon the first shut down I got the message "DW20.exe-DLL Initialization Failed The application failed to initialize because the Windows workstation is shutting down." I had the hard drive reformatted and XP reinstalled and I am still gettingthat error message. I looked on the internet and it seems to be an MS Office problem or a Trojan. I have not installed ANY MS Office products and I have scanned the machine with Symantec Endpoint Protection, AVG Antivirus, Ad-Aware 2008 and Spybot S&D 1.6.
None of those scans finds any bad files.
The web sites that say it's a Trojan want you to buy their software to fix it or join their "club" to have get the answer. I am hoping one of our members can help me out.
System info:
AMD AM2 6400
ASUS M2A-VM on board video sharing 1GB RAM
3GB DDR2 6400
Maxtor 250GB SATA II
Floppy drive
Manhattan Internal Card Reader
DVD RW drive
Thanks
I am Stumped!
