DVR for work... pretty specific

So I am working on a project to capture video and audio from a polycom video conference system. I have that straightened out. But now I am at the capture device. The media department WANT a very specific format.

So what I have:
Output: DVI-D 1080P with stereo audio line level

What media wants:
H.264 with either PCM or analog stereo audio
ON SD Card

I have been looking at stand alone dvr's but have not found one that will work. Most of the devices that have built in SD Card output are for CCTV and low resolution applications. I can of course convert the video stream to whatever the device wants (HDMI, RGB, etc), but the resolution/FPS must remain high.

Am I stuck building a computer to do this? Is there some product I have not found yet that does this easily? Obviously something seamless and easy for the user is preferable.

its what college and nfl teams use to mirror their recordings in real time to sd cards. it saves them the time from having to take the P2 cards or whatever and down convert them to manageable h.264 format. (they use h.264 for most of their work too.. the camera records in super high def, but they just use that for archiving).

i know it uses sdi interface, i cant remember if there is standard inputs... not sure if you can make it work, but if you can there really isnt anything better.
