DVI vs. VGA enlightenment

Ok, i have posted a few times on here about this issue (getting a video card) and basically im sick of debating/researching.... lol. But really i have one final problem. The card i am ready to buy, has dual vga monitor support but no dvi (ati aiw 9600xt). So herein comes the question, is it going to make a noticable difference? Should i not get this card because it doesnt support dvi (one of the monitors i plan to use is high end and supports it, the other is just an average 17" lcd and doesnt)?

For reference, im on my computer quite a bit. Use it for pretty much everything.... editing video, watching video, music, surfing, emails, etc etc (not heavy gaming though).

If your monitor supports DVI, then you need a card with a DVI connection [although i think you can get adaptors - not sure]. If your monitors support VGA - then you are ok.

I don't think that at the moment there is much difference, though there should be in theory - but then, in theory DDR should be almost twice as fast as SDR!

I don't think for your use that you would notice a difference.

Even for the reason of future-proofing isn't a good reason, cos the next time you build a system, you are likely to replace everything except probably the monitors, not keep an 18 month old vga card!
