Hi,

for video quality, only, which interface is more effective, DVI or HDMI or does it matter at all?

Image quality - no difference at all. Both offer digital signal to the monitor.

The HDMI does of course carry an audio signal with it if you have the facility to use it ie. speakers on the monitor/ tv you use.

I'm not sure if HDMI will drive a 2560x1600 @ 60Hz or whether you need to use a dual link DVI port and cable. I'm sure someone will confirm.
