Are their any major advantages to having a DVI connection to an LCD over an analog D-Sub? I have heard that it may increase performance as it removes the need for the D/A, A/D conversion process, anything else?

I recently went from D-SUB to DVI with my dual 1800FPs. As a tribute to the craftsmanship of these units, my eyes cannot distinguish that much of a difference in overall quality. Admittedly, I went directly from dual D-SUB to dual DVI without any mixing and matching.

I do know that I no longer need to calibrate my LCDs as the units recognize the use of the digital DVI signal and proudly tell me that calibration is not needed.

All you need to do is sdjust the brightness levels. For reference I run 65 on both of my 1800FP's.
