I am interes in the E193FP Monitor and wanted to know if the lack of DVI would hurt quality to a noticeable degree?

Every other spec is great with 16ms response and 1280 X 1024 res, etc.

The 1905FP has DVI, however it has 20ms response instead of the 16.

Opinions??

EDIT: I am also concerned with the 2001FP, since I have to run games at 1600 X 1200. My system can't YET handle games that high.

get a CRT for gameing, cheaper, look better, no ghosting, scalable resolutions

DVI will look better tho to answer your question, however analog LCDs look fine

No you shouldn't notice any image quality difference. There is a bit more streaking with analog, but that's about it, unless you have a poor analog signal comming out of your video card.

My samsung 712N is analog only and it's quality is almost on par with my DVI 213T. That is, no streaking, and decent color. Although I have had to tweak the color on the 712N a lot and its still not quite "right".

I find DVI makes the biggest difference in text, alot less color bleeding and "blooming", it just looks alot sharper.

Some LCDs have crappy analog outputs if they have a DVI port as well. My LCD only has analog... jumped in the LCD craze a little too early... but IQ is on more or less on par with my friends Dell on DVI as far as my blind eyes can see.

Oh and if had a choice now, I would definitely go with a CRT instead. :)
