So, just bit on the Westy 37" 1080p deal and was wondering what would be the best connection....

It has both DVI and HDMI inputs and will be connected to my pc which has a 9800GX2 that also has both of the same outputs. Will be used primarily for gaming with an occasional DVD played on it.

Which way would be best? Or does it really make any difference which way I connect to it?

DVI and HDMI are basically the exact same connection. HDMI carries audio but if you're connecting a PC, you'll need a separate audio connection anyway. Either way, you'll see the exact same picture.

That's it...HDMI is simply DVI in a smaller plug, with digital audio onboard. DVI = HDMI.

pick the one that you already have the cable for :)

Doesn't make a hint of difference. Save your money. I'd probably use DVI for computer and save the HDMI for PS3 or XBOX360...

Edit: noticed that your GPU has HDMI. Either way, my opinion remains the same. Whichever one is more convenient, use that one because the visual result will be the same.
