DVI LCD question: Do all DVI LCDs support the 1:1 or "stretch" option?

I'm considering buying a new monitor... and I refuse to get one without knowing whether or not it will support smaller resolutions without stretching them to widescreen.. so my question is, do all DVI LCD monitors enable that option in nvidia where you can select if you want to display smaller resolutions in 1:1 (black areas around the smaller res picture) or stretch?

my black friday Samsung 19" DVI widescreen LCD doesn't have an aspect ratio option. But my Dell 2005FPW does. I guess cheap LCDs have less options to play with the picture!

Not sure about doing it in software...

Well, based on that screen, i'm sure it supports all DVI LCDs! I was just talking about a hardware in menu type aspect ratio changing.

Sorry, i'd like to test it but I use a Mac!

Well, I got the monitor today and the 1:1 scaling in nvidia works. (In other words, I can set it to either stretch to the full screen, or make 800x600 or whatever appear 1:1 in the center of the screen with black surround. The monitor I ended up buying was a 20" Benq FP202w
