I bought a DH67VR mobo which has a DVI I output. Now, my samsung monitor has DVI D port along with RGB...So RGB's obviously of no use. So which kind of DVI cable am i supposed to purchase now?

  • DVI I to DVI D or
  • DVI D to DVI D?
i dont know if DVI I to DVI D cables exist...If i use a DVI D to DVI D, will there be any problem?

Help a newbie...please!!!! 😵

DVI-I ports are ports capable of driving both digital and analog monitors, by containing the necessary pins for both. The idea is that it's a universal port that can be attached to either a DVI-D (digital) or DVI-A (analog) cable; you don't normally use a DVI-I cable.

Anyhow, since you're using an LCD (digital) monitor, you want to use a DVI-D cable.
