dvdXcopy question

I know that most commercial dvd movies come in two layered discs. So it is not possible to backup an entire movie onto one dvd disc because of size issues. However, it is also my understanding that dvdXcopy copies all movies into one disc. How is that possible?

Aha!!! Didn't realize that. Thanks for clarifying that.

The new programs DVD2one and Pinnacle InstantCopy can backup a dual layer dvd to one dvd-r.

Dvd2one only backs up the main movies.

Instantcopy can backup everyone on the dvd. It transcodes the dvd so that the movie will fit on one disk. You lose some quality but not enough IMO to matter all that much.
