I suspect it has something to do with the video card drivers, but not sure. Using a Visiontek GF3 Ti 200, and the 43.51 drivers. WinDVD just played the sound, Installed PowerDVD and got the following error:

TheTV Out port of your display card is not working properly.

My DVD player used to play DVD's fine. Is there a known issue with the 4x.xx drivers? is there a fix?

There is a known error between that driver and PowerDVD. I remember it being explained in a previous thread, but I forgot what the actual conflict was. Unfortunately, there isn't a fix for it (to my knowledge). I (like many others that I've read about) just installed the previous driver.
