DVDs for $7.99 or less - Great for collectors

This is a good deal however these $7.99 DVDs are High quality used DVD in rental case, same day 1st class shipping

Meaning their probably from NetFlix, dusty and scratched up without the original DVD case, just an FYI.

I have bought a few items from this site.

Basically-its a place for vendors to get rid of used cds, dvds, tapes. Before buying, check out the vendor's rating, as well as the condition of the item.

You can get screwed as every item they sell is different.

The web site is a just a meeting place(its made by ebay)

sig.

It is best to buy the DVDs that say watched once or never opened. Everything that I have bought from there has been in great shape.

Just for the record, half.com is a startup entity that was bought out by eBay (and at quite a windfall for those involved). It's not really a hot deal to post, but OTOH, you can get lots of good stuff cheap from here, so if you don't know of it, you do now 🙂

I prefer it to *bay b/c you don't deal directly with the seller, shipping costs are fixed by half.com and you don't have to bid and hope to win.

FWIW, I've bought a number of items from half.com (CDs and DVDs). So far I have not been snubbed or screwed. I always buy from users with high ratings and I typically only buy stuff that specifically says that it is new and sealed, or VERY descriptive about what's included.

FWelseIW, I was just reading something on DVDTalk (search for Dreamcast) about a guy who bought a DC game and got a burned copy. I just ordered 3 DC games from there...I'll let you know how I fare. All specified that they were new and sealed with all documentation.

Books from half.com are a great deal, because unlike DVDs, they can be scratched up and still work 🙂
I have also bought laserdiscs from half.com and have had good luck with those.

I'm a regular half.com user and love it. I buy almost all my books there. The rating system works fairly well, and I've never been really screwed.

I've also bought 10+ DVDs from netflix off of half.com. The DVDs come in a sturdy plastic case similar in size to a new DVD case, but obviously w/o the cover artwork and booklet. None of the DVDs I've received have been damaged in any way.

I'm also a member of Netflix, and I've never had a problem with any DVD they've sent me.

well......I have used half.com for long now ....without complaints...
I have even sold books and movies there ....again without complaints.
But. be careful when buying from Netflix as recco. by some members.
The netflix rentals I get are usually not worth having.
They are too scratched up.
But I ain't complaining since I use coupons to get free rentals month after month.......

lol

I agree with TSRICH. I rent from Netflix also, All movies have been in "like New" condition. There was one exception with a disc that was cracked in two in shipping. They sent out a replacement immediately.

CJChaps, If you are looking for books, try www.bookfinder.com

little bit off topic,
but has anyone found a phone number for Half.com customer
service anywhere on their website.
or for that matter, where their address is (like corporate HQ)

if so, please PM me if you know any info.

they still owe me payment for a book sell from March
and all I get are emails promising "check in next several weeks"
so Im really p.o. at them and want to file a BBB complaint.:|

A Little OT, but I have joined Columbia House...ugh...12 times 🙂 I call, use the code, order the two DVDs I am obligated to buy, then quit...all in the same phone call.

thanks for the info.
I did some digging on the web and found

HALF.COM INC
