Looking to buy a new burner, I almost pulled the trigger on the NEC ND-3500A yesterday on NewEgg for $68. But I'd really like to read the roundup before pulling the trigger.

 
Really hard to go wrong there. I picked up the DVR-108 from Pioneer, about $71 on Newegg. Mostly for the best compatibility to my DVD-303S by Pioneer.

Drive is quiet....quietest drive in my system (Plextor 40Wide, Plexwriter 12/10/32 also)

I am going to use 8x Ritek media to hit 12x on burning...not buying DL media at this time.
