I tested both, XCOPY Platinum and DVDShrink, and now just use DVDShrink.

As far as the two you provided I guess I'd go with dvd shrink, its free and does an ok job, however neither do anywhere near as good as cce 6 pass.

btw with dvd shrink, if im saving dvds to hard drive and intending to burn when I eventually get a burner, does it matter if i save them as files instead of ISO? Usually re-authoring to shrink btw.

Davegod, just save the files in the DVD format as DVD Shrink copies them out. Then use Nero to burn at a later time and drop them ALL in the TSVideo folder in the explorer window of Nero. I sometimes rip 5 or 6 to my drive before getting around to writing them using the re-author method you spoke of.

Ah k thanks :) ATM dvdshrink is spitting out two subfolders, with everything in video_ts and and empty audio_ts (presuambly because I cut out an extra audio stuff).
