DVD to VCD

I know that people can burn DVD into the blank cdrs
How do I do that?
like program do i use? Where to get it?
Is it diffcult to do?

I recommend SVCD over VCD. VCD quality just isn't up to par IMO.

in a nutshell...

it a hassle.

you'll need a fast cpu to encode in real time.
not worth my time... since vcd's can be had for about 5-7.

there is a program called DVD2SVCD....it works great. run it before you go to sleep at night and in the morning it will be all done.

Where do I get this DVD2VCD program?
I don't really prefer to run my computer over night
cuz it's in my room, and it's going to cost lot of money for electricity.

unless you're living in Singapore where electricty is probably scarce, running a single computer does not make an impact on an electricity bill overnight.

read up on the dvd.box.sk site i posted. The forums there are worth their weight in gold. Depending on the quality of your rip, you can squeeze it to one CD.

go to that link and read up on it. i think that page has a link for you to download the DVD2SVCD program. there are one or two other programs you have to dl in addition to DVD2SVCD to make the program work. hope that helps.
