DVD Suddenly Not Playin DVD's!!!!

Everything else in my system works fine, but all of the DVD's I play now skip and freeze unacceptably. Any suggestions?

2.4 Ghz P4 400Mhz
1GB RAM (PC 2100)
GeForce3 64MB
