I have a pioneer dvd-115 with a SBLive value, Herc Gts 2 and klipsch Promedias, my question is what is the best software decoding solution. Im using the Powerdvd that came with my prophet gts and Im rather dissapointed with the audio decoding because the sound is too low during talking and then gets too loud during action sequences. Anything else out there that can improve the audio decoding quality

PowerDVD is excellent but you could always try WinDVD or CineMaster which has has more options using DVD Genie than the other two. I suspect the problem comes from downmixing 5 channels to 4. There is just no making up for missing a center, especially with mini speakers. You might want to try different combinations of letting either the Live! or the decoder do the downmix, or skip it altogether and just play it back in stereo. Otherwise, get a cheap decoder (Pro Logic at least) and add another speaker.
