DVD Shrink

essential

Senior member
I'm trying to back up one of my DVDs, and the DVD Shrinks compression cannot back up the full disc as it is. When I look at my audio options, it lists:

AC3 - English - 280megs
AC3 - English - 130megs
AC3 - English - 130megs
AC3 - English - 130megs

There are four different AC3 English tracks ... if I uncheck any one of them, DVD Shink can then backup the full disc. Anyone know which AC3 tracks wouldn't be needed? What happens to the DVD if one isn't there ... will audio be missing from some part of the DVD?

Thanks.

I'm guessing they are different commentary versions or sumthin'.

Just check in the movie's audio setup to see which ones you can get rid of 🙂

click on one of them and then click on the little play button at the bottom left where there is a miniature screen. that will play the movie + whatever track you have selected. then if its like a comentator, just delete or keep if you want. hope that works for ya.

Check the DVD Shirnk forums, search for the particular movie you are trying to copy. Someone may have already figured it out.

I Backup many and many DVD's and I only Every Keep the very first English Audio only because some times it will mess it up with different setups and play the wrong one.

And I only Keep the main movie Reurthur it the the qulity will be better in most cases and if it under 4.3 GB I use Nero to do a Straight copy with AnyDVD to take away the encreption.
