I'm haveing a problem with DVD shrink. I've backed up plenty of DVD's without a problem before, but i now i am getting an error. There are two errors i am getting.

1. Failed to read drive E: cannot coutinue becasue of I/O device error
2. and the other one is something about data error(cyclic redundundancy check)

does anyone have any idea's?

That error message is telling you that either the disk cannot be read properly, therefore resulting in a "cyclic redundundancy check" or that the laser in the DVD drive you are using to read the disk is malfunctioning. I seriously doubt it's DVDshrink that's at fault for those errors.

try a perfectly clean (i.e. no scratches or smudges) dvd disk and if it still gets errors reading, it might be your drive.

thanks guys for all the advice. i think i cleaned the disc and it worked fine. I've never had that happen before so i didn't think it could be just smudges that would cause that. Thanks again.
