DTS and AC3 are different codecs from different companies, I'm pretty sure. AC3 is from Dolby, and DTS I'm not sure. actually, I'm not sure of AC3, either. dunno which is better, though.

DTS is not supported by all recievers. Just choose the AC3 6channel and uncheck everything else. This will give you the best quality/compatibility.

With DTS i can choose compress 7. With AC3-6 ch, level 6 and with AC-3 2-ch level 5

my reciever does DTS though

oh, ok. they dont have that in the newest version which is 3 beta 5. I would upgrade (it's free afterall) and then you dont even have to worry about it.

does it retain all the functions of the DVD ??

meaning the menu selection etc, different camera angles etc ?? ?

If I were to backup Jenna Jameson Virtual Sex would it keep all the features ?

If you wanted it too. Although if there is a lot of extra video, DVD Shrink is going to have to compress it all and you will start noticing the loss of video quality.

I use DVD Shrink version 3 beta 5 and set compression to automatic and AC3-6 for audio. So far everything I've ripped plays great and looks great.

I have a DVD that's a 2CD version.

Is it possible to fit both onto 1 dvd ?

I mean LVL 7 Comporession brings this DVD down to like 2gb. I'm assuming the 2nd disc is 2gb as well.

DTS >>>> AC3(Dolby Digital).

less compression, wider frequency range.
If your HT setup is good, lot of times DTS will sound BETTER than in many theaters.

you said your receiver supports it (most newer ones do), so get rid of AC3 and keep DTS.

imho.

Do i just burn it as an ISO in Nero6 ?

no. you need to make a dvd- video and drag the data to the VIDEO_TS folder.
