Well, my DVD player has been slowly biting the dust for a few months now and I think its time to replace. I presently have a 16x Pioneer that I'm not at all happy with. I was looking along the lines of a Samsung or Lite-On since I have a Lite-On CD-RW.

Any Recommendations?

I have a Lite-On 16x DVD-ROM. Works like a champ! Super quiet and super fast! 16x dvd & 40x CD fho sho!!!

Are they made by JVC? I saw a picture of an OEM unit and it have JVC printed on the top...

What model is that NokiaDude? I am also looking for a DVD-ROM, LiteOn seems to be good. Which are better, hardware or software decoders?
