I am wanting to rip all of my dvds to avi so I can stream them to my PS3. What is the best way to do this? What software do I need?

This is what I personally use and have had great results:

Rip to ISO using Imgburn

Convert ISO to avi using Fairuse Wizard, I use Xvid/Ac3 for the video/audio codec containers to maintain the 5.1 signal.

I am trying to do the same thing because the ISO images are too big. I tried Fairuse, but there was corruption at the bottom of the video and it only covered about half of my HDTV. Is there a setting in it that lets you get the 16:9 ratio?

The programs I've used are DVDFab Platinum to rip the dvd to my hdd. Then I use avi.net to convert. Everyone has their favorite method; this is mine and I've always had excellent success. DVDFab costs but avi.net is free.
