My purchased copy of dvd x copy is now telling me thatits license allotment has expired, what do I do, is there any free dvd rippers so i can make my own legal copies of my dvd collection?

You bought a program to allow you your legal right? Tsk tsk... Get DVDDecrypter, should be able to find it at doom9

well i just paid 30 bucks for 3 dual layered disks and the i go to re-install dvd x copy and it tell me that the license has been used to many times, i bought the spftware legally early last year but i installed and uninstalled it a few times and i guess you cant do that. i tried all day looking for a keygen but i had no luck

First of all, write the company. If you have proof of purchase they'll set it straight.

Secondly, there's no reason to pay for software when there are free alternatives.

DVDDecrypter and DVDShrink.

and now since you can write with dvddecrypter, you don't need nero, excellent combo - dvdshrink and decrypter

ok let me clarify, with the above mention applications i can rip dvd (protection?) and write them to disk? i tried to call the phone number for the company and some phone sex lady offered me some phone sex, man that was gross well if those apps will work then i will get em, thanks
oh and i wonder why are some of my words coming up green and what does GFT mean

You can use DVD Shrink to rip & encode, & DVD Decrypter to burn.

Or Decrypter to rip, Shrink to encode, & Decrypter to burn.

Yes, it can even burn automatically once transcoded (in options, set "create iso and burn with dvd decrypter"), and shut down the pc automatically with another option.
