DVD Rip Recommendation?

Im not sure if it is legal or not to rip your own DVD's for personal use on my Zune. I will not be up loading them to the internet. That out of the way, Im looking for a good DVD ripper under 25 dollars. I got a long road trip coming up and need something to pass the time. Im looking at MOVIE TAXI but I am not to sure if it removes the protection layer.

As CalvinHobbes said, DVDFab Decrypter works well.

then i use videora to convert for my iphone, dunno if it'll work for the zune or not
