DVD recorders that play Divx-encoded movies?

I don't seem to find any that have both functions . . . long shot?

x-man, assuming your talking about a dvd player for home theater correct?...

Yup. I have no problems recording DVD's or watching DivX encoded movies on my PC. 😉

I could build a PVR, but a HT box would probably be cheaper.

JVC.
Phillips.
have no experience with either, so can't say how good they are.

I kinda stumbles on those this past weekend, I was checking out this player, which has some pretty cool features as well, just wasn't sure on quality....here---> Avel.

Yeah that Avel looks pretty sweet on paper, huh.
