I just checked a 25 pack of Memorex DVD+R bought at BestBuy a few weeks back and they are as follows

Did you have to use the disc first to get the CD ID? Dvd can't identify it unless it is burned.

No - you DO NOT have to burn it for it to be identified. Alcohol 120% and DVD Decrypter also allow to verify media type.

Anyone have a cache of the OD 4X imations? I ordered them and they are NOT 4X... and the link no longer shows 4X anymore! They are Ritek G03's which is ok but the site DID SAY 4X at the time I ordered.... they changed it after.
