Okay, I just got 300 of these blanks, have written 12 of them so far with no issues at all. I have tested these in a Sony 500A, NEC 1300A, Optorite and they all burn at 4x just fine. They seem to be a good quality, and very hard to see through, only if looking directly into a light source.

Here's a quote from someone who bought these.

"There have been a lot of Mfr's that started out with good product but have lost their QC and are now producing defective disks LEDA and PRINCO are two - their defective ratio is now over 50% out of 100 unit bulk - this product is slightly better -I just received my order of 50 (I know better than to order 100 anymore) and here are the numbers 7 not usable - 22 excellent - 21 marginal i.e. defects on surface will not allow for writing the entire disk (4.7 GB) and usually you can get 3.5 to 4.0 GB out of these 21."

Also at dvdrhelp.com alot of people have reported mixed success with these discs.

what kind of copy sw are you using for movie backups? I'm getting xcopy gold. Is that compatible with this media and the sony drive?
