Check the reviews. Some success at burning at higher speeds with certain drives, but not gauranteed.

For the price, seems like it's worth it. (If it's good media)
I don't mind waiting. I can always have a 20 pack of 4x dvd-r's around for those times when I'm in a hurry. But, I don't mind hitting "burn" and going to bed, or going to eat dinner, or surfing the internet, or...

Pioneer DVR-106 reads/writes these discs stable at 4X :) :) Optorite DD0203 can't even recognize these discs :( :( Media code is Lonngten 001 (same media code as Sonic 2X DVD-R). Good price for printable DVD-R media, a little tricky for some recorders to recognize.

Just updated the Optorite DD0203 with latest firmware 2.50 and now it could read/write this economy media just fine at 4X, best at 2X. A great buy!

Great price and very well manufactured Disc. have burned about 50 out of my 100 pack and have not had any problems with none of them so far. The picture is Great. Some burned at 4x and some did not on my LG GSA-4040B. All burned at 4x on my Pacific Digital Mach-8 (P/N: U-30201).

I will have to get me a spindle of these and test them out. The last 4x Sonic media I got burnt fine, but don't expect to ever make a dupe of the disc, as all I ever get is CRC errors, now, these are being reported as LONGTEN001's, which is what the Matrix media is that I get, and I burn them all day long at 4x, and have had no problems burning the copies. I have burnt the Matrix at 4x in the NEC 1300A and Sony 500A with no issues at all. Sounds like a pretty decent deal.

when do you get the CRC errors? I burned a DVD to a Sonic Longten001 DVD at 4x in my liteon 851S, and then put the copy back in to see if I could make a copy, and DVDshrink analysed and saved a copy to my HD perfectly with no errors. Do you only encounter the CRC error when trying to actually burn the copy?

Defintely pretty hot! I used to buy the cheap 1x princos for my Pioneer dvr-104 and it only burned 1x, but those princos burn at 2x w/ my nec 2800? or 2500 and its pretty fast. If my nec can burn these at 4x then this is a must. ANyone tried it w/ the nec dual format 8x?

Popper,

I get CRC errors when trying to read them in my DVD reader in my computer. They play fine when I play them, but for some reason, when I try to rip them, they CRC error out. As for that crap QTC media, it plays for a couple minutes then completely locks up my players, I have tried returning it, but they are giving me the run around, so I don't know what I am going to do with it. Matrix and Sonic have been pretty good for the most part.

Okay, I said I would give an update, so here it is. Although it took them a week to ship (OOS), I finally got them Friday, and tested them out. All I can say is, I just ordered another 500 of them. These things work flawlessly in my NEC 1300A, Sony 500, and an Optorite drive. (sorry, don't have the model handy). I didn't have to flash anything, just threw the disk in, and DVD Decrypter found the discs as Lonten001's, and 4X media. I have been using them all weekend, have done about 10 of them, picking from different places in the spindle, and have got zero errors. I have run DVDInfoPro on each one, and they all check just fine. They play in an old Apex stand alone my fiance has, an old Magnavox player her father has, a GE drive that we have, and a KLH drive that her brother has. They also work just fine in the X-Box and PS2. The discs have a really nice white surface to write on, (or print if you're rich and have a cd printer). Although these are generic media, they really work good. Oh, and btw, they have dropped the price on them. Only by a buck per 100, but hey, a buck is a buck. :)

I'll give these a go.

Thanks for the deal Flair

sheesh, my Memorex 4x (jpn ricoh01) aren't recognized on my xbox and one of my dvd players reads it as a "bad disc" even though when you press play it'll play fine.

0 problems with the longten's though. Time to place another order
