Before I begin, let me say that I generally loath Apex and similar crap players. Yes, they are fine for some - but (I have owned an apex and sampo) their picture quality is below par and their reliability is even worse, hence why I am looking for yet another DVD player.

I am looking for a reasonably priced carousel player with progressive scan (~$200-250). There is a panasonice s67 and the sony 655p that seems to fit the bill along with a kenwood and JVC. Does any one have any experices with any of these players, or just comments in general? As I start to look, there is a noted lack of reviews for these p[layers.

Panasonic makes good reliable players, and the visual quality is top notch. You can't really go wrong with them.

I have a 27" Tau right now but will most likely by a big screen HDTV with in a year, hence the progressive scan.

I am a Sony lover but when it comes to DVDs I would choose a Pioneer DVD Player.

WoW! You know too much about that player. :)

What's the difference between the K and the S model?

Damn they have 7 disc progressive scan DVD Players out now?

Was scanning Amazon.com's selection and I saw several great players in the $200 range, wow.

Prices have really dropped.

According to this Text the pr62 and vp67 are the same but one is 5disk. Can't see any real difference between them on panasonics website either. Do you know of any? I can go oick up the 67 for $200 so seems to be a good deal.
